Continuum Health Group celebrates the second day of National Public Health Week! This year’s theme is Centering and Celebrating Cultures in Health. A great public health advocate requires understanding the complicated and sensitive history and present relationship with the health care system for millions of Americans. This week the American Public Health Association (APHA) is focusing on a topic each day to bring public awareness to the multifaceted approach to increasing the well-being of ourselves and others. The organization also offers tools for those who are interested in local community events, and how to take action on public health initiatives by contacting local elected officials.
CHG recognizes that trust is built through transparency, honesty, and integrity and is dedicated to pursuing a more equitable health system for all Americans, where everyone benefits from innovation and progress. We are taking this week to honor those of various backgrounds who have contributed to better science and medicine and those who have pushed for health justice and equity, while also acknowledging the injustices of the past and seeking solutions for a healthier future.
